Sunita Pendekanti began her Kuchipudi journey under the guidance of her mother, Smt. Kandala Janani Sarala, an accomplished artist. She continued her training from the age of four under the legendary Guru Vempati Kodandarama Sastri, and later trained with Smt. Vempati Naageswari and Guru Vedantam Prahlada Sarma for several years.

Sunita gave her Arangetram (solo debut performance) at the age of 16 and has since received numerous district, state, and national awards. Known for her graceful "Lasya" and expressive "Abhinaya", she has earned titles such as:

• Natya Mayuri
• Nritya Bharati (Silicon Andhra, 2006)
• Kala Bharati (Festival of Globe & Shanmukha Arts, 2023)

Sunita has performed lead roles in dance dramas choreographed by:

• Guru Pasumarthy Venkateswara Sarma
• Guru K.V. Satyanarayana
• Vempati Ravi Shankar

Her choreography and direction include major productions like:

• Krishna Mahima
• Sarvam Krishna Mayam
• Dhruva Charitram
• Narayana Nrittya Mala
• Ugadi Vasantam

In 2001, Sunita founded the Kuchipudi Art Center, training hundreds of students. Many of them have gone on to perform, compete, and choreograph across the U.S.

Sunita and her students have performed at prestigious venues and events, including:

• Federation of Indo-Americans Council
• Tours across United States, Singapore, Canada, and India.
